At Desert Ridge High School, students are encouraged to explore their interests while building the skills and confidence needed for life after high school. Vivian Flynn, a senior at DRHS, is a testament to that belief, taking ownership of her creative future by self-publishing an original novel at just 17 years old.

At a Special Governing Board meeting on Friday, January 30, 2026, the Governing Board unanimously approved the appointment of Dr. Jared Ryan as the next Superintendent of Gilbert Public Schools, beginning in the 2026/27 school year.
