Psychology and Student Council

Room: 2233

Psychology is a thought-provoking elective experience, which explores a variety of topics, allowing the student to learn more about who they are, interact and understand others, and support personal growth through awareness, compassion, and relationships.

Student Council is a leadership experience focused on developing student representatives to serve their DRHS community. Leaders are challenged with projects and tasks, which enhance the DRHS experience for all students and staff. There is an academic and community service component of the 4th hour class, as well, which allows leaders to explore their philosophies, styles, and drive to serve other people.

About Me

This is my fifteenth year as an educator and coach serving in Mesa, Gilbert, and Apache Junction. I am a passionate educator focused on helping students identify their learning potential and develop a desire for continuous learning. I earned my undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Political Science and have since earned two Master's degrees in Education focused on Curriculum and Instruction, and Administration and Supervision. I also recently earned a Project Management certificate. I am devoted to social issues for the betterment of society, and therefore believe in the power and influence of education. I challenge my student leaders to make a difference in the world, and I accept that challenge each day as well. I am the sponsor of the Anytown program at DRHS and hope to continue to find avenues to support our students and our community.
