As you know, the prevalence of vaping on school campuses across the country is on the rise.  Unfortunately, we are no exception. Not only is the use of vape products a terrible health decision, it also has significant discipline consequences to include suspension from school and referral to a hearing officer.  Simply put, it's not worth it. Do the right thing for yourself and others. Keep vaping off of our campus.

The American Legion Boys State

Boys State is a citizenship training program designed to provide a working knowledge of our governmental process. An interesting 'learn by doing' method is used at Boys State. Boys learn about government by actually operating it; Establish a mythical 51st state patterned after Arizona, elect state, county and city officers, set up legislative assemblies, introduce bills, organize courts and law enforcement agencies and in other ways act as self-governing citizens for a full week. Boys State will be held at Northern Arizona University, Sunday, June 2 through Saturday, June 8, 2019. Applications must be submitted by mail no later than April 10, 2019.

Sports

Safety and Security at The Ridge.  As you know, safety and security on school campuses across the country is on everyone's mind.  What can you do to help? Here's a few things:

1. When you are leaving campus through one of our gates and no one is behind you, please take the time to close it.

2. Make sure you have your student ID with you at all times and be prepared to show it when asked.

3. If you notice something or someone on campus that looks suspicious in any way, report it to an adult so it can be investigated quickly

4. If and when an emergency event occurs, like an evacuation or lock down,  listen closely to the directions given by the adults around you.

Thanks for taking an active role in keeping our school safe and secure
