and analytic reasoning with an emphasis on communication, problem solving, and application through the use of
Algebra II- This course will focus on the study of algebraic concepts. Topics will include an introduction to sequence and
series, exponents and logarithms, and trigonometry as well as developing the analysis of data through the use of
technology. This course will be comparable to a second year high school algebra course.
AVID Elective- This course will include the necessary instruction to support students in a rigorous college preparatory program.
Students must complete an application process and be selected to participate in this program.
This is my second year at Desert Ridge High
School, but I have been teaching since 2002.
I have taught at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels for
Gilbert Public Schools as well as for an online high school. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education
from Northern Arizona University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum &
Instruction from Grand Canyon University.
I absolutely love teaching math! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy
spending time with my two children, ages 9 and 6.
